About Me
About...
I often hesitate to write the About page because I think, it's not about us, it's about YOU! But, I will indulge. I am Stacey Thomas and I own The Philadelphia Wedding Chapel. We have performed over 300 weddings at our venue in just two short years. The idea came to me when I saw how popular this concept was in Las Vegas and realized there were not many similar choices here in Philly. As a certified wedding planner with over 11 years years of wedding and event planning experience, I knew that some couples just don't want the expense or headache a big wedding brings and that an intimate wedding with close friends and family is the perfect alternative. Many opt for a destination wedding or a trip to City Hall. I wanted to provide another choice...a closer, cheaper and nicer alternative. Over the years, I have planned and coordinated weddings ranging in every size from intimate ones with 80 guests to those having over 500 guests and everything in between. My experience in this industry puts me in a unique position as the owner of The Philadelphia Wedding Chapel. I didn't just decide to open a wedding chapel without having the knowledge of what brides and grooms expect and want. This was a natural transition from what I was already doing. I understand the excitement and anxiety a couple feels about this very important day in their lives. I tell each of my couples that no matter how big or small your wedding is, it is still your wedding day and it needs to be perfect whether there are 2 guests or 40. I take pride in the weddings we present. I want to create a beautiful lasting memory for everyone. We don't just marry you...we create an experience for you. There is a difference and it's an important one. Prior to this chosen career, I was a corporate attorney for 14 years. Having that background has also benefited me in this business. I communicate, anticipate and troubleshoot extremely well. I know how to keep situations and people calm. I LOVE what I do. I love waking up every day knowing I am going to make someone's day extra special. It is an absolute joy and privilege. Thank you for considering us to host your wedding day. We look forward to having you.
